International Summer School of Research Internship on Basic Medical Sciences of Shandong University（ISS-RIBMS）
山东大学基础医学实习国际暑期夏令营
I. Introduction of ISS-RIBMS
This program leverages the state-of-the-art laboratories of Shandong University's basic medical research teams and welcomes students from partner universities to engage in hands-on laboratory work during the summer holiday. It offers an exceptional learning platform for students with an interest in basic medical research. The program encompasses a variety of activities, including laboratory practice, professional knowledge sessions, cultural immersion, Chinese language classes, student exchange events, and field trips. Through this comprehensive experience, students develop their scientific research mindset and capabilities. Additionally, the program helps international students gain a deeper understanding of Shandong University and China, fosters friendships, and lays a solid foundation for future collaboration.

IV. Application requirement
n Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students（major in biology, medicine, chemistry and other related disciplines and related majors）;
n Strong interest in academic research;
n Interested in Chinese culture;
n Have appropriate English language ability;
n Good physical and mental health;
n Willing to comply with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and regulations of SDU
V. Accommodation
On-campus or Off-campus accommodations application will be opened two weeks before the registration.
VI. Fees and payments
Registration fee 400 RMB (Appx. USD 65)
Tuition fee 4,000 RMB (Appx. USD 650)
Accommodation 1000 RMB (Appx. USD140)（for Twin room)
Meals 50-70RMB/day (Appx. USD10)
VII. Scholarship & benefits
BMS Scholarship is offered to the participants from Shandong University’s partner institutions, which can cover registration fee, tuition fee, and partial accommodation fee. Students will be invited to attend welcome & farewell party with free meals and 1-2 free city tour. Free pickup service is on July 7, 2025.
