The Department of immunology was originally the Department of Microbiology and immunology of Shandong Medical University. In 1978, it was approved by the national academic degree office to establish master's degree program in immunology and microbiology for postgraduates, master's degree program in immunology in 1996, doctor's degree program in immunology in 1999 and post doctoral mobile station in 2001. In 2006, became a key discipline of immunology in Shandong Province, a Key Laboratory of infection and immune enhancement in Shandong Province, and a specially appointed Professor setting unit of immunology Taishan Scholars in Shandong Province. There are 15 staff members, 8 professors, 4 associate professors, 1 lecturer and 2 experimenters in the Department of immunology. At present, there are 6 doctoral supervisors and 11 postgraduate supervisors, all of whom have doctoral degrees. The main tasks of the Department include teaching, scientific research and postgraduate education.
