Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University (Faculty of Medicine) has a long history and profound cultural heritage, and its origins can be traced back to 1864. So far, more than 45,000 medical talents have been trained, and they have made important contributions to the field of medicine and health. Cheeloo College of Medicine is made up of 6 colleges, including the School of Basic Medical Sciences, the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the School of Stomatology, the School of Public Health, and the School of Nursing and Rehabilitation. It has 4 directly affiliated hospitals including Qilu Hospital.
School of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) consists of 11 departments and a National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, with more than 150 professors and associate professors, and 628 full-time postgraduates. In the past five years, it has undertaken more than 160 national-level scientific research projects, more than 160 provincial-level scientific research projects, including 16 national-level major and key scientific research projects, and 17 ministerial and provincial-level key scientific research projects, and has been funded more than 200 million yuan. More than 650 SCI papers were published, including a number of high-level academic papers in international famous academic journals such as Nature, Cell, and PNAS etc. which demonstrates first-class scientific research capabilities. Participants will deliver academic presentation on basic medical sciences, including anatomy and neurobiology, histology and embryology, physiology and pathophysiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, immunology, pathogenic biology, pathology, pharmacology, genetics, cell biology, medical psychology and ethics.
The presentation can be a published article or an introduction to unpublished research progress.
