On Dec. 12, the 2019 Annual Meeting for the Basic Medical Sciences Education Instruction Committee of the National Level Experiment Demonstration Center was held on the Baotuquan Campus of Shandong University. Prof Xiaoqun Qin from Central South University, Prof Yuan Lu from Zhejiang University, Prof Xiaokui Guo from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Prof Renwei Dong from Southern Medical University, and Prof Guihua Hou, A/Prof Yabin Zhou from Shandong University. Besides, Mr. Donggang Ran, deputy director of Shandong University Department of Management of Assets and Experiments, and Mr. Lei Li, director of Shandong University Cheeloo College of Medicine Department of Finance and Assets Management attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Fuchang Zhao, Party Secretary of Shandong University School of Basic Medical Sciences.

During the meeting, Mr. Ran introduced the background information of the construction of Shandong University’s Demonstrating Labs. Prof. Yongxin Zou made a report named “Measures to Improve the Laboratories Taken by School of Basic Medical Sciences” Afterwards, the participants visited Teaching Buiding No. 2, No.6 and No.8, as well as the Museum of Human Sciences. The experts spoke highly for the equipment, the staff, the laboratory teaching environment. Mr. Zhao mentioned that Practical Teaching is the main process in medical education. The center will make constant efforts to improve quality.
