Niu Yamei, Researcher of the Department of Pathology, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Master's supervisor of Peking Union Medical College, and member of the Medical Cell Biology Branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology. She was awarded a bachelor's and master’s degree from China Pharmaceutical University and then get a Ph.D. of Pharmacy from Nagasaki University in Japan. She has worked at the WHO National Cancer Research Agency in France, the Medical Department of The University of Kurume in Japan, and the Beijing Genomics Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Her main research direction is to study the role and mechanism of apparent
transcription and modification RNA m6A methylation in the central nervous system and to explore the neurological diseases involved in such mediation in combination with clinical cases, so as to explore the intervention strategies of related diseases. More than 20 papers have been published in high-level journals such as Genome Biology, Molecular Cell and Science, with a total of 1,500 citations.
