On November 12, Akt1 and dCIZ1 promote cell survival from apoptotic caspase activation during regeneration and oncogenic overgrowth was published in Nature Communications The research was conducted by Professor Gongping Sun and Professor Denise Montell of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Both of them are the corresponding authors of the paper. Professor Gongping Sun is the first author of this paper, and Shandong University is the first author unit and corresponding author unit.

The published paper revealed the function of cell regeneration in normal tissues and found two key factors regulating cell regeneration for the first time.
