The first author of this paper is Xiaotong Chen, doctoral student, Department of Immunology. The corresponding authors are Professor Lining Zhang, Yan Li, and Faliang Zhu. This research revealed the regulatory mechanism of TFEB at the protein translation level for the first time and provided an important theoretical basis for clarifying the regulatory network of TFEB and lysosome. It is the first time that PDCD4 gene knockout can inhibit the M2 polarization of tumor-associated macrophages and improve the anti-tumor ability of macrophages through TFEB. More importantly, it provides a good therapeutic target for lysosomal storage disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.

Professor Lining Zhang's team has been engaged in the research of PDCD4 in inflammation, tumor, autophagy, and metabolic diseases for a long time, and the relevant achievements have been published in molecular psychology, autophagy, diabetes, and Cellular & Molecular Immunology.
