Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate courses. The accreditation covers five types of “Gold Courses”, including online first-class courses, virtual simulation experiment teaching first-class courses, offline first-class courses, online and offline mixed first-class courses, and social practice first-class courses. A total of 44 undergraduate courses of Shandong University were awarded, ranking the third in China. The number of selected courses of the School of Basic Medical Sciences ranked first in the whole university

Among the selected courses, Medical Biochemistry presided over by Keli Tian and Medical Immunology presided by Wang Jianing were awarded as first-class online courses; Virtual Simulation Experiment of Patch-Clamp Technology Exploring Action Potential Generation Mechanism presided over by Chuanyong Liu was awarded as the first-class virtual simulation experiment teaching course; Topographic Anatomy presided by Zhen Liu and Human Anatomy presided by Haiwei Meng was awarded as the first-class course and Physiology presided over by min Cui won the first-class online and offline mixed courses. Among the 13 courses applied for this time, another 3 courses were awarded the first batch of provincial first-class undergraduate courses.

The national and provincial first-class undergraduate curriculum construction is an important part of the “double ten thousand plan” of the Ministry of education to screen and evaluate the curriculum from the aspects of teaching philosophy, teaching achievements, curriculum objectives, teaching design, course content, teaching organization, curriculum management, etc. The first-class undergraduate course accreditation results represent the highest level of undergraduate courses at this stage.
