The latest research results of Professor Yu Xiao and Professor Sun Jinpeng’s team were published in EMBO reports

Recently, Professor Yu Xiao and Professor Sun Jinpeng’s research team together with Xu Yunfei research team of Shandong University School of Basic Medical Sciences jointly solved the key issues and made new progress in the field of phosphatase regulating adrenal secretion. The relevant research results were published online in EMBO reports (JCR journal, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 5 years IF= 9.214) under the title of "PTP MEG2 regular quantity size and fusion pop opening through two distinct structural bases and substrates". Xu Yunfei, an associate professor of Shandong University, and Chen Xu, a doctoral student of the School of Basic Medical Sciences of Shandong University, are the first authors of this article. Professor Yu Xiao, Professor Sun Jinpeng, Cui Min, and Xu Yunfei of Shandong University are the co-authors of the paper, and Shandong University is the first author.

Yu Xiao and Sun Jinpeng's research team of Basic Medical College of Shandong University focused on the study of metabolism physiology and pathophysiology mechanism of islet and adrenal gland and clarified the regulation of the stable metabolism balance of the islet loop （Nature 2020） （J Clin Invest. 2017）（Diabetologia. 2014）（Diabetologia. 2015）, The precise regulation mechanism of GPCR related pathways on islet function (Br J Pharmacol. 2015), and the regulation of adherent receptors on the steady-state water-salt metabolism of the adrenal gland, etc. (Elife. 2018).
