The 1st International Symposium for Postgraduates on Basic Medical Sciences was held on November 21st in Baotuquan campus organized by the School of Basic Medical Sciences(BMS) and Co-organized by the postgraduate Association of BMS. Medical postgraduates of  nine universities from six countries and regions, including China, Japan, and India etc, attended the Symposium. Dr. Han Bo, professor of the Department of Pathology, BMS, delivered a keynote speech with title of  "Characterization of prostate cancer patients in China - Identification of novel oncogenes in cancer progress".

The Symposium was held by face to face and online format. 11 postgraduates from 4 Universities gave presentation on the research directions of  physiology, pathology, pathogenic, cells, immune, pharmacology, anatomy and neurobiology, biochemistry and molecular biology etc.

2021 marks the 120th anniversary of Shandong University. To improve academic exchanges and promote the scientific research level, the 1st International Symposium for Postgraduates on Basic Medical Sciences was helda.
