International Summer School of Research Internship on Basic Medical Sciences（ISS-RIBMS）
I. Introduction of ISS-RIBMS
This program relies on the advanced laboratory of the basic medical research teams of Shandong University, and accepts students from partner universities to experience the laboratory work in summer Holiday, providing a good learning platform for students interested in basic medical research. The program includes laboratory practice, professional knowledge studying, cultural experience, Chinese language learning, students exchange activities, and field trip, etc. Through the implementation of the program, students' scientific research thought and scientific research ability are cultivated, and also help international students to deepen their understanding of Shandong University and China, enhance friendship and lay a good foundation for future cooperation.

III. Labs
See the list of labs, each student only can select up to 2 Labs for 16 hours internship. (please see the attachment files)
(Your choice may not be satisfied, we will adjust according to the specific arrangements of the laboratory. Please understand.)
IV.Application requirement
■Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students major in biology, medicine, chemistry and other related disciplines and related majors;
■Strong interest in academic research;
■Interested in Chinese culture;
■Have appropriate English language ability;
■Good physical and mental health;
■Willing to comply with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and regulations of SDU
V.Accommodation
On-campus accommodations application will be opened two weeks before the registration.
VI.Fees and payments
■Registration fee 400 RMB (Appx. USD 65)
nTuition fee 4,000 RMB (Appx. USD 650)
nAccommodation 1000 RMB (Appx. USD140)
nMeals 50-70RMB/day (Appx. USD10)
VII. Scholarship & benefits
BMS Scholarship is offered to the participants from Shandong University’s partner institutions, which can cover registration fee, tuition fee, and partial accommodation fee (double room fee of on-campus accommodation). Students will be invited to attend welcome & farewell party with free meals and 1-2 free city tour. Free airport pickup service is on July 14, 2024.
