On January 23, 2024, Professors Qiu Jichuan and Liu Hong from the State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials, along with Professor Hao Aijun from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, achieved significant advancements in the interaction between nanomaterials and cells. Their collaborative efforts led to the development of a universal strategy aimed at enhancing the interaction between nanoparticles and cells. The research findings were published in the prestigious international journal Angewandte Chemie International Edition (IF=16.6) under the title "Generation of a Hydrophobic Protrusion on Nanoparticles to Improve the Membrane-Anchoring Ability and Cellular Internalization". This paper was also elected as a VIP article (Very Important Paper). The first authors of this article are Xia He, a doctoral student from the State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials, and Zhou Wenjuan, Associate Professor from the Basic Medical College. Professors Qiu Jichuan, Liu Hong, and Hao Aijun from the State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials are among the contributing authors. Shandong University is recognized as the sole communication unit for this research.
