Cheeloo College of Medicine

Established in 1864, Cheeloo College of Medicine (Faculty of Medicine) stands as one of China's oldest medical education institutions, having cultivated over 45,000 healthcare professionals who have significantly advanced medical research and public health. The College comprises six academic units: School of Basic Medical Sciences, School of Clinical Medicine, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Stomatology, School of Public Health, School of Nursing and Rehabilitation. It operates four affiliated tertiary hospitals to support clinical training and research.

School of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS)

As a cornerstone of Cheeloo College of Medicine, BMS integrates 12 academic departments and 7 specialized research centers. Current faculty includes 188 full-time members (76 professors, 75 associate professors), mentoring 2,164 enrolled students.

Research Excellence (2019-2024):

Secured CN¥172.4 million in competitive grants, including 9 national key projects and over 200 provincial initiatives.

5th International Symposium for Postgraduates on Basic Medical Sciences

Building on its legacy, this symposium will foster interdisciplinary dialogue and elevate graduate research capabilities through keynote lectures, poster sessions, and collaborative workshops. Participants will deliver academic presentation on basic medical sciences, including anatomy and neurobiology, histology and embryology, physiology and pathophysiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, immunology, pathogenic biology, pathology, pharmacology, genetics, cell biology, medical psychology and ethics. Presentations on clinical medicine are also welcome!

The presentation can be a published article or an introduction to unpublished research progress.

Oral presentation will be limited to 20 minutes (excluding the time for questioning).

Certificates for all participants and outstanding speakers will be issued.

Accommodation and local transportation expenses are borne by the participants themselves.

If you are invited as an oral or post presentation, you will receive an invitation letter from the committee, the program will cover your local expenses, including accommodation, food and local transportation.
