2026 International Summer School of Lab Internship on Basic Medical Sciences of Shandong University（ISS-LIBMS）

山东大学基础医学实习国际夏令营

I. Introduction of ISS-LIBMS

This program relies on the advanced laboratory of the basic medical research teams of Shandong University, and accepts students from partner universities to experience the laboratory work in summer Holiday, providing a good learning platform for students interested in basic medical research. The program includes laboratory practice, professional knowledge studying, cultural experience, Chinese language learning, students exchange activities, and field trip, etc. Through the implementation of the program, students' scientific research thought and scientific research ability are cultivated, and also help international students to deepen their understanding of Shandong University and China, enhance friendship and lay a good foundation for future cooperation.

IV. Application requirement

n Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students major in biology, medicine, chemistry and other related disciplines and related majors;

n Strong interest in academic research;

n Interested in Chinese culture;

n Have appropriate English language ability;

n Good physical and mental health;

n Willing to comply with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and regulations of SDU

V. Accommodation

On-campus or off-campus accommodations application will be opened two weeks before the registration.

VI. Fees and payments

n Registration fee 400 RMB (Appx. USD 65)

n Tuition fee 4,000 RMB (Appx. USD 650)

n Accommodation 1000 RMB (Appx. USD140)

n Meals 50-70RMB/day (Appx. USD10)

VII. Scholarship & benefits

BMS Scholarship is offered to the participants from Shandong University’s partner institutions, which can cover  tuition fee, and accommodation fee (double room). Students will be invited to attend welcome & farewell party with free meals and 1-2 free city tour. Free pickup service at Jinan international airport or railway station  is on July 12, 2026.
