Recently, Professor Xie Yusheng from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong University, in collaboration with Professor Wang Jigang from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Professor Yi Fan from Shandong University, and Wang Miaomiao from the Second Hospital of Shandong University, published a research paper titled “Chemical Probe-Enabled Lipid Droplet Proteomics” online in JACS. This study developed the first in situ analysis platform for lipid droplet proteins that does not require lipid droplet isolation, through which the research team identified and clarified the biological functions of novel lipid droplet proteins CHMP6 and PRDX4 as lipophagy receptors and lipolysis regulators. Xiang Jing (Ph.D. candidate), Li Tao (Ph.D. candidate) from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong University, and Dr. Zhang Junzhe from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences are the co-first authors of this paper. Professor Xie Yusheng, Professor Wang Jigang, Professor Yi Fan, and Wang Miaomiao serve as the corresponding authors.
