Recently, the Symposium Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Pathology Discipline at Shandong University was held in Jinan. Yi Fan, Vice President of Shandong University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Chen Xin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Qilu Hospital, delivered an online speech. Liu Dongge, Chairman of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Director of the Department of Pathology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), attended the opening ceremony and gave an address. Nearly 300 participants attended the conference, including Gao Peng, Vice Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong University, and Director of the Department of Pathology, Shandong University / Department of Pathology of Qilu Hospital; colleagues from pathology departments of hospitals inside and outside Shandong Province; outstanding graduate representative alumni from across the country; retired senior experts; and all members of the Department of Pathology. The opening ceremony was hosted by Li Li, Deputy Director of the Department of Pathology, Shandong University / Department of Pathology of Qilu Hospital.
