Teams led by Professors Sun Jinpeng and Yu Xiao, in collaboration with teams headed by Professor Chai Renjie, Professor Xiao Peng, Professor Yang Yu, and the team from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, have published a paper titled A force-sensitive adhesion GPCR is required for normal equilibrioception online in Cell Research. The research team screened and identified the adhesion G protein-coupled receptor LPHN2 as a key receptor for equilibrioception, clarified its regulatory role and molecular mechanism in the process of equilibrioception. This study breaks through the traditional cognition in the field and provides potential drug targets for the treatment of balance disorder diseases.
