Nature! Professor Sun Jinpeng’s Team Collaborates with Professor Kong Wei from Peking University to Identify Ceramide Membrane Receptors and Discover a Novel Anti-Atherosclerotic Strategy Beyond Cholesterol Reduction

On March 7, Professor Kong Wei’s team from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University, in collaboration with Professor Sun Jinpeng’s team from the Advanced Institute for Medical Sciences, Shandong University, and other research teams, published an important research finding titled “Sensing ceramides by CYSLTR2 and P2RY6 to Aggravate Atherosclerosis” online in the top international academic journal Nature via accelerated publication. The co-first authors of this paper are Zhang Siting (Ph.D. candidate, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center), Lin Hui (postdoctoral fellow, School of Stomatology, Shandong University), Wang Jiale (postdoctoral fellow, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center), Rui Jingyu (Ph.D. candidate, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center), Wang Tengwei (Ph.D. candidate, Advanced Institute for Medical Sciences, Shandong University), Cai Zeyu (postdoctoral fellow, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center), and Huang Shenming (associate researcher, Advanced Institute for Medical Sciences, Shandong University). The corresponding authors are Professor Kong Wei, Professor Sun Jinpeng, Professor Jiang Changtao, and Professor Zheng Jingang.
