1.Research interest

We focus on the identification of metastasis suppressors and functional characterization of their involvement in tumor microenvironment during tumor progression.

We are also interested in the regulators (ncRNAs) of cancer stem cell expansion and differentiation that have significant impact on tumor progression and metastasis.

2. Biography

Jing Hao is a Professor of Histology and Embryology at Shandong University. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Shandong Medical University in 1994,and completed her graduate study at Shandong University in 2000. Dr. Hao joined the faculty of Shandong University as an Instructor of Histology and Embryology in 2000. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2001 and to Professor in 2007.

Dr. Hao's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of breast cancer metastasis. She has published over 20 original articles in journals including PNAS, Stem Cells, and Carcinogenesis. Her work discovered new tumor suppressor genes that inhibit metastasis and chemoresistance of breast cancer, delineated the manipulation of tumor microenvironment to control cancer metastasis.
