5. Research area

(1)Gastric mucosal inflammation and carcinogenesis. We study aberrant signaling in gastric epithelial cells responding toHelicobacter pyloriinfection and we focus on dysregulation of epigenetic modification and non-coding RNAs in theH. pylori-mediated gastric carcinogenesis.

(2)We studynovel mechanism for the development of gastric cancer. We focused on genetic and epigenetic dysregulation of gastric cancer during its tumorigenesis and metastasis. We aim to find the early diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets of gastric cancer.
