Research Interest:

Study on the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases:

1) The role of abnormal mitochondrial homeostasis in neurodegenerative diseases.

Mitochondria, as important organelles in the cell, participate in a variety of cell

biological activities such as cell energy metabolism, Ca2+ balance regulation, and

apoptosis, and play a key role in maintaining the functions of tissues and organs.

Maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis is critical for the proper functions. The

abnormal mitochondria is found in many neurodegenerative diseases, but the

mechanism of mitochondrial abnormality is different in different diseases. We are

elucidat ing the mechanism of abnormal mi tochondr ial homeostasis in

neurodegenerative diseases and try to develop potential Drug therapy targets.

2) Research on molecular and cellular biological functions of genes related to neurological

diseases. There are many susceptible genes involved in nervous system diseases. To

study the role of these genes in the nervous system, especially their physiological and

pathological functions is very important for the treatment of diseases.
