The key laboratory of Experimental Teratology

The key laboratory of the Ministry of Education of Experimental Teratology was jointly built in 2001 by Professor Gao Yingmao of Histoembryology Research Office, Medical Genetics Research Office, Development Biology Research Office and Pathogenic Biology Research Office, and was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002 as the fourth batch of key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, which has been developed into a multi-disciplinary laboratory covering basic disciplines such as Genetics, Anatomy and Histoembryology, Development Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry and Pathogenic Biology. Professor Ma Chunhong is the current director of the laboratory.

The laboratory conducts basic research and application on the pathogenesis, prevention and intervention strategies of genetic diseases, birth defects, genomic diseases and other developmental abnormalities-related diseases.
