Research Interest:
I have had long held interests in basic neuroscience and psychiatry, especially the decoding of behavior. A major focus of my research is to understand the molecular, cellular and neuronal circuitry mechanisms underlying learning and memory, emotion and affective disorders with combined in vivo neuronal calcium imaging, behavior and optogenetic approaches. My overall goal is to ask basic questions about how the neuron functions and find correlates to behavior and psychiatric disorders.
